Computer bootup failure

It becoming a habit that my pc brings up a black screen when turned on with it's cursor seen.

So @ITSupportforum could you please clarify the issue and kindly seeking your way forward.

    Hi Amos, thanks for reaching out.

    The black screen with only a cursor (often called KSOD – “Black Screen of Death”) can be caused by various issues, such as corrupt system files, graphics driver problems, or startup process failures.

    Please provide more information:

    1. Which version of Windows are you running (10, 11, etc.)?
    2. Does the computer start in Safe Mode?
    3. Did this issue begin after a Windows update, software installation, or did it happen suddenly?
    4. Are there any error messages or beeps before the screen turns black?
    5. Is it a laptop or desktop, and what are the specifications (RAM, storage, graphics, if known)?
    Do this:
    1. Restart and try booting into Safe Mode (press F8 or hold Shift + Restart). If it loads, the issue is likely driver or startup-related.
    2. While on the black screen, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager → File → Run → type explorer.exe and hit Enter. If the desktop comes up, it means Windows is not loading Explorer automatically.
    3. If you have a Windows installation USB, you can also try Startup Repair or System Restore.
