    What does tpm 2.0 mean on the other hand. Is it a hardware or software

    @amos, thank you.

    TPM 2.0 can exist as a hardware or as an embedded firmware implementation (fTPM) built into the processor. Read about it what is tpm 2.0 and why is it required

    @lena3d

    TPM 2.0 is mainly a security feature built into your computer’s hardware. It protects things like encryption keys, passwords, and secure boot processes.

    Sometimes it’s a separate chip on the motherboard, and other times it’s built into the processor (called firmware TPM). Windows 11 treats both as valid TPM 2.0.

    You can heck if your PC has it by pressing Windows + R, typing tpm.msc, and checking the version shown.
