Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior IT Support engineer based in Athens to join our fast-growing IT team in a company that revolutionizes the way that credit risk is managed.

As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you will support day-to-day IT operations and help ensure a smooth experience for EXUS employees. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow technical skills, and gain hands-on experience across IT systems and tools.

You will work under the guidance of senior team members and gradually build your expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end users for common hardware, software, and access issues.

  • Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate more complex issues to senior engineers.

  • Assist with user account setup and maintenance (onboarding, offboarding, password resets, access requests).

  • Support daily IT operations, ensuring systems and services are running smoothly.

  • Help track and manage support requests using the Jira ticketing system, following team processes and SLAs.

  • Assist in setting up laptops and workstations for new employees.

  • Support basic administration tasks in Microsoft 365 (e.g. email, Teams, SharePoint).

  • Gain exposure to IT infrastructure, including:

  1. Windows Server environments

  2. Virtualization (e.g. Hyper-V)

  3. Networking and firewall concepts

  4. Microsoft Suite (Azure , Entra , Admin , Teams etc.)

  • Assist with routine checks, updates, and documentation of IT systems.

  • Learn and support backup processes and monitoring under supervision.

  • Collaborate with team members and occasionally with external vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or final-year student).

  • 0–2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role (internships count).

  • Basic understanding of:

  1. Windows operating systems

  2. Microsoft 365 environment

  3. Networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, etc.)

  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills across systems, cloud, and security.

  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to follow processes and document work clearly.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Candidates must have fulfilled any mandatory military obligations, where applicable.

Nice To Have:

  • Exposure to Active Directory or user management concepts.

  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).

  • Awareness of IT security best practices.

  • Any relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.).

Ability to work occasionally from our Athens (Petralona) office when required
