Junior IT Support Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior IT Support engineer based in Athens to join our fast-growing IT team in a company that revolutionizes the way that credit risk is managed.
As a Junior IT Support Engineer, you will support day-to-day IT operations and help ensure a smooth experience for EXUS employees. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow technical skills, and gain hands-on experience across IT systems and tools.
You will work under the guidance of senior team members and gradually build your expertise.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support to end users for common hardware, software, and access issues.
Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate more complex issues to senior engineers.
Assist with user account setup and maintenance (onboarding, offboarding, password resets, access requests).
Support daily IT operations, ensuring systems and services are running smoothly.
Help track and manage support requests using the Jira ticketing system, following team processes and SLAs.
Assist in setting up laptops and workstations for new employees.
Support basic administration tasks in Microsoft 365 (e.g. email, Teams, SharePoint).
Gain exposure to IT infrastructure, including:
Windows Server environments
Virtualization (e.g. Hyper-V)
Networking and firewall concepts
Microsoft Suite (Azure , Entra , Admin , Teams etc.)
Assist with routine checks, updates, and documentation of IT systems.
Learn and support backup processes and monitoring under supervision.
Collaborate with team members and occasionally with external vendors.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or final-year student).
0–2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role (internships count).
Basic understanding of:
Windows operating systems
Microsoft 365 environment
Networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, etc.)
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills across systems, cloud, and security.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to follow processes and document work clearly.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Candidates must have fulfilled any mandatory military obligations, where applicable.
Nice To Have:
Exposure to Active Directory or user management concepts.
Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).
Awareness of IT security best practices.
Any relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, etc.).
Ability to work occasionally from our Athens (Petralona) office when required
